College of Marin Intensive English Program

English for Academic Purposes: Our goal is to prepare students to enter American colleges or universities and to help them improve their English skills for many reasons such as work, TOEFL preparation, or better communication with friends and family. We issue I-20s for students to get F-1 visas to study in our program for fall and/or spring semesters. F-1 students may start either at the beginning of the semester or after 4, 8, or 12 weeks for the rest of the semester. Full-time students study 20 hours per week. Non-F-1 students may study part or full time: Grammar for Oral and Written Communication, Academic Writing and Reading, Pronunciation, Current Events, Idioms and Expressions in American English, Listening and Speaking for Academic Success, Topics in American Culture. Completion of Level 3 fulfills English proficiency requirement for College of Marin credit program. Contact international@marin.edu.
